Hello and greetings from the United States brothers and sisters of Kenya
and surrounding African countries. My name is Keith Davidson I am a friend
of Sylvester’s and he asked me to write something for this conference. I
hope you are enjoying the conference and receiving good things from the
Lord as He moves in your midst.
I would like to talk about Gods plan and desire for us as individuals and
His plan for us as Gods church of believers.
John 17:1-3
1 After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: "Father, the
time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. 2 For you
granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to
all those you have given him. 3 Now this is eternal life: that they may
know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
The way has been made and hope has been given to all mankind through Jesus,
Revelation chapter 5:3-5 and 7-9
3 But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth could open the
scroll or even look inside it. 4 I wept and wept because no one was found
who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside. 5 Then one of the elders
said to me, "Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of
David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals."
7He came and took the scroll from the right hand of him who sat on the
throne. 8And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the
twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they
were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the
saints. 9And they sang a new song:
"You are worthy to take the scroll
and to open its seals,
because you were slain,
and with your blood you purchased men for God
from every tribe and language and people and nation.
There is nothing that can stand in our way Jesus has paid the price for
all of us once and for all. His sacrifice is good for your entire life and
forgiveness is available through the midst of all your failures. Just
continue to abide and trust in Jesus.
Later in John chapter 17 verse 20 Jesus prayed for us
"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe
in me through their message,
This is speaking of us, we are those that have heard and are hearing the
disciples’ message that has been passed down to us through the Bible.
Jesus goes on in verse 22 to 26 of John chapter 17 and says the following,
John 17:22-26
22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as
we are one: 23 I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete
unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as
you have loved me. 24 "Father, I want those you have given me to be with
me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because
you loved me before the creation of the world. 25 "Righteous Father,
though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you
have sent me. 26 I have made you known to them, and will continue to make
you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I
myself may be in them."
These are incredible words spoken by Jesus, these words are sitting and
waiting to be fulfilled to the depth that Jesus desired them to be
fulfilled. You have the opportunity here and now to step into the glory
and goodness of a close personal relationship with the God of the universe
through His son Jesus Christ. We also have the opportunity to step into
unity with our brothers and sisters in the Lord, we have been washed
cleaned by the blood of the Lamb and will continue to be washed clean as
we all rest in His compassion and forgiveness.
Here in America many people have very nice comfortable houses, cars, and
many appliances and machines that make our lives easy (this includes
myself). But these things do not compare to the riches we have in the
Lord, the comfort of His love, the hope of His forgiveness, the promise of
eternal life, the fulfillment of knowing Him.
He wants to know you and to be known by you, He wants to teach you about
His love. This can happen by asking Him to teach you of His love but
always remember that when you are done asking keep asking some more, this
can happen by searching and when you are done searching search some more
to know Him, this can happen by knocking, knocking on the door of heaven
asking the Lord to come and teach you of His goodness and when you are
done knocking knock some more. Never stop seeking the Lord, never stop
hoping in the Lord, never stop believing in the Lord; continue to do this
and you will see marvelous and incredible things happen in your lives as
you find yourself learning of His great love.
Jeremiah 33:2-3
This is what the LORD says, he who made the earth, the LORD who formed it
and established it—the LORD is his name: 'Call to me and I will answer
you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.
Jesus is the door; He has made the way for this to happen for any and all
that will continue to depend on and hope in Him. As we do this
collectively (many or all of us seeking God), we will grow in unity, we
will know and understand one another because of His incredible love, our
hearts will grow closer together.
Colossians 3:13-15
13 Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have
against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all
these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one
body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
I pray the Lord greatly blesses your remaining time during the conference!
